Games I Have Worked On
October 2015 - College Term Project
Crossy Road Origins
Crossy Road Origins is a 2D, top-down view endless runner where you need to gain a top score by travelling the furthest distance possible. The player must avoid an endless barrage of speeding vehicles from crushing you with extreme malice. This project was made with the GameSalad Engine which is a visual coding engine with a somewhat limited library of "Rules" which are non editable scripts, which are then applied to game objects. I handled all of the mechanics for the game and some character artwork too. Instead of posting In-game pics, I have added the actual game.

May 2015 - College Year Project
Planetary Defence
Planetary Defence is a 3D tower defence space game set in the near future. The aim of the game is to use resources to build defence turrets to fight off an impending alien attack, which arrive in waves. The more aliens destroyed, the more resources can be collected to build more turrets. I worked on programming with another student. My programming tasks consisted of the Resource System, Turret Aiming, Turret Placement and bullet A.I. Another task I took on board were Sound Production.

Jan 2015 - Global Game Jam
The Last Mission
This years theme was "What do we do now?" I once again, decided to try make a game by myself, to test my skills of what I learned over the college year. I made The Last Mission with the Unity Engine and programmed the code in C#. I wanted to attempt to make a 2D Arcade Space Shooter with 3D objects as I thought this would give a better and more natural depth of field. The aim of the game is to destroy as many small asteroids as possible while also trying to stay alive! I later added enemy aliens to make the difficulty slightly harder. You can find the latest build Here

Jan 2014 - Global Game Jam
Sweet Crusher Saga
Another year brings another Global Game Jam, the theme this year was "We don't see things as they are, we see them as we are." There were also 14 diversifiers which your game could be based on, I picked "Candy themed" which was aimed at King (makers of Candy Crush Saga) and the controversy of trademarking common names. I decided to attempt to make a game by myself in Unity and in c# language for the first time as I wanted a challenge. I made a decent attempt at a game which I named "Sweet Crusher Saga" It is a 2D Puzzle, Platformer where play as Sweetboy who is mad at the king who only allows his own brand of sweets in his kingdom. You make it your mission to push the kings sweets into conveniently placed crushers across 3 different levels. I uploaded the game to a site for people to play and judge online. You can play it Here

Sept 2013 - Microsoft Game Jam (1st Place Winner)
The Driven Dead
On 7th September myself and another student attended the Microsoft Game Jam, we went with the intention of "porting" a game we had already made over the summer period called "The Driven Dead". As the game was made with no touch controls we needed to program them in and upload the game to the windows 8 marketplace in the time given. As a result of us successfully porting the game we won "Best port of the day" which bagged us an Acer Iconia W5 and a full copy of windows 8 pro too! Here are 2 photos of the game. This game is also playable Here

Jan 2013 - Global Game Jam
Pulse Unknown
I decided to go to this year's Global Game Jam on the 25th - 27th of January 2013. It was the first time I have gone to an event as such, three class mates joined me to try create a game in 48 hours. We received a theme that we had to incorporate into our game which was a "heartbeat" so here is what we accomplished in that time.
In Pulse Unknown the player takes control of a cyborg with a human heart. However his heart does not run forever and he must complete the levels in time in order to survive.
Open the 'Pulse Unknown release' folder and double click on the Unity file. Press alt+F4 to close the game if you are running in full-screen mode.
Platforms:Windows
Tools and Technologies : 3ds Max and the free version of Unity 4.

About Me
I am 27 years old, I enjoy anything got to do with gaming since I was a child. I'm currently studying computer game development Dublin Institute of Technology, Ireland. I hope to one day start my own company designing and developing computer games for all platforms, so to set this into motion I have completed a "Start your own business" course through the Dublin City Enterprise Board, this started during the summer of 2013. Right now I am focusing all my attention towards completing college assignments and building industry contacts. Favorite subjects of mine would be programming, 3D modelling and level design. I started my B.A. in Games Design in September and will continue to attend this course for the next four years with hopes of advancing my education with a masters degree after completing the course in 2019.
